Who can Perform the Court Marriage?

In Pakistan, the following people can perform the marriage:
The Registrar of Marriage (a government official) or a Nikah Khawan and a lawyer.
A Priest or a Pastor of a church or religious denomination that is recognized by the state.
A Hindu Pandit appointed as a Marriage registrar by the Provincial Governments
In India, you can marry in front of any person who is authorized by the court to perform marriages under Indian law. In some cases, a judge may be present at your wedding to act as an official witness and sign some documents afterwards.
Court Marriages vs Traditional Marriages in Pakistan
Traditional marriage is the most widely used way of getting married in Pakistan. Although it can be expensive and time-consuming, the ceremony and reception will be grand and memorable for years to come. With court marriages, however, you can get married at your convenience and no one needs to know about it until after the fact. That’s why court marriages are becoming increasingly popular in our country: they cost extremely less than traditional weddings, take less time than traditional weddings (usually one day), and happen at any location or time that works best for you!

Court Marriages Have Many Benefits

In addition to being convenient and fast, court marriages also have many benefits over traditional ceremonies such as lower costs because there isn’t any need for flowers or decorations; no need to hire vendors like caterers who may overcharge customers due to their lack of knowledge regarding pricing practices; fewer guests invited which means fewer people attending events resulting in lower expenses overall; etc…
While deciding whether to go for a Court or Traditional wedding, it’s important to remember that both of them are valid and have different pros and cons.
You’ve decided to get married, but you aren’t sure which way to go. Should you have a traditional wedding or a court marriage? This is a tricky question and one that many couples face in Pakistan.
While deciding whether to go for a Court or Traditional wedding, it’s important to remember that both of them are valid and have different pros and cons.
Legal Status of Court Marriage and Traditional Marriages in Pakistan
The legal status of both court marriages and traditional marriages is valid in Pakistan. However, only one type of marriage can be registered with the government—and this has an impact on how much tax you pay as well as other benefits available through the federal government, such as health insurance policies for retirees.
